Darren Clay Robinson, Heroin Trafficking, New York 2017
A Schenectady man has pleaded guilty to leading a Capital Region drug trafficking ring that distributed heroin, crack cocaine, and cocaine.
Darren Clay Robinson, 54, aka "Mountain," admitted to conspiring with more than 10 people to distribute the drugs throughout the Capital Region from August 2016 to May 2017.
According to the FBI, Robinson and his co-conspirators distributed between 3.5 kilograms and 5 kilograms of cocaine as part of the conspiracy.
Law enforcement seized approximately 300 grams of cocaine, 75 grams of heroin, and 25 grams of crack cocaine from a Schenectady residence shared by Robinson and co-defendant Lashaunda Tarver in May 2017.
In addition, Robinson was found with various glass mixing cups, 4 digital scales, cutting agents, and various packaging materials used in the packaging and distribution of drugs.
Robinson, who has three prior drug felony convictions, faces at least 10 years and up to life in prison, and at least 8 years of post-imprisonment supervised release, when he is sentenced by United States District Judge Mae A. D'Agostino on December 14, 2018.
The case is being investigated by the FBI and its Capital District Safe Streets Gang Task Force, which includes FBI Special Agents and members of federal, state and local law enforcement agencies.
Other defendants have also pleaded guilty in connection with the conspiracy, including Jose Gilberto Harris, Lashaunda Tarver, Bobby R. Graham, Marty Humphrey, Jalessa Scott, Willie C. Hayes, Kimberly Petties, Manuel Clemente, Corey J. White, and Shenika Boyd.
