Daveion Wright, Child Exploitation, Ohio 2024

A Middletown man has been indicted for sexually exploiting a toddler, sharing the alleged explicit conduct on Snapchat, in a case that has left the community shaken.

According to the indictment, Daveion Wright, 31, sexually exploited a 2-year-old victim on at least five instances in January 2024 and shared the explicit conduct on the popular social media platform.

Law enforcement officials are urging members of the public to come forward if they believe they have information related to the victimization of other minors by Wright. Anyone with information is asked to call the FBI at 513-979-8821.

The charges against Wright are a federal crime punishable by 15 to 30 years in prison. Wright has also been charged locally, with those charges remaining pending.

The indictment was returned by a federal grand jury on March 20. The case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Kyle J. Healey.

An indictment merely contains allegations, and defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.

Wright's case highlights the growing concern of child exploitation and the importance of reporting suspicious activity to the authorities.
