David Taylor, Child Pornography, Pennsylvania 2023

WILLIAMSPORT - A New Jersey man has been sentenced to 30 years in prison for producing child pornography, the Grimy Times has learned.

David Taylor, 34, of Blackwood, New Jersey, was sentenced on July 11, 2023 to 30 years of imprisonment and 10 years of supervised release for production of child pornography. Additionally, Taylor was required by law to register as a sex offender, and he committed both offenses while under this obligation.

According to United States Attorney Gerard M. Karam, between July 15 and July 18, 2017, Taylor produced child pornography and transported a minor from Pennsylvania to New Jersey with the intent to engage in criminal sexual activity. This disturbing activity was committed by a registered sex offender, who exploited a minor's vulnerability.

The case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office, the Gloucester Township Police Department, and the Pennsylvania State Police. Assistant United States Attorney Alisan V. Martin prosecuted the case.

This case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative launched in May 2006 to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse. The US Attorney's Office and the Criminal Division's Child Exploitation and Obscenity Section lead this effort, marshaling federal, state, and local resources to locate, apprehend, and prosecute individuals who sexually exploit children.
