Omaha Man Sentenced for Conspiracy to Distribute Methamphetamine and Heroin
In a significant blow to the Lincoln area's illicit substance trade, Dawon L. Hughes, 37, of Omaha, Nebraska, was sentenced to 11 years and seven months (139 months) in federal prison. This harsh sentence was handed down by Chief United States District Judge John M. Gerrard on July 24, 2020.
Hughes was found guilty of conspiracy to distribute and possess with the intent to distribute 50 grams or more of methamphetamine (actual), 500 grams or more of methamphetamine mixture, and an unspecified amount of heroin.
