Heroin and Crack Trafficking Ring Busted in Maine

Bangor, Maine - Demario Boler, a/k/a “White Mike,” a/k/a “Mike,” 23, of Buffalo, New York, has pleaded guilty to conspiring to distribute heroin and cocaine base, commonly known as “crack,” and distributing crack in Central Maine.

According to court records, between November 2016 and September 2017, Boler conspired with others from Rochester, New York and Central Maine to distribute heroin and crack. The drugs were acquired in Rochester and Boler and others distributed the drugs in Central Maine. On May 11, 2017, Boler sold crack to an individual working with law enforcement.

The defendant faces up to 20 years in prison, between three years and life on supervised release, and a $1,000,000 fine. He will be sentenced after the completion of a presentence investigation report by the U.S. Probation Office.

The case was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives; the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration; and the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency.

Boler's guilty plea is part of the federal government's efforts to combat the opioid epidemic, which has ravaged communities across the country. The opioid epidemic has claimed thousands of lives and left countless families shattered.
