Dennis Ferretti, Oxycodone Trafficking, West Virginia 2014

A 37-year-old Marshall County, West Virginia resident has been convicted of prescription painkiller trafficking, United States Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld, II, announced.

Dennis Ferretti, originally of Wenonah, New Jersey, conspired with other individuals to possess and distribute oxycodone in Wetzel and Marshall Counties in West Virginia between 2014 and 2014.

Ferretti pled guilty today to one count of “Drug Conspiracy - Oxycodone.”

He faces between up to 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $1,000,000.

Under the Federal Sentencing Guidelines, the actual sentence imposed will be based upon the seriousness of the offenses and the prior criminal history, if any, of the defendant.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Jarod Douglas prosecuted the case on behalf of the government.

The Drug Enforcement Administration, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, and the West Virginia State Police led the investigation.

Sentencing will be determined in accordance with the Federal Sentencing Guidelines, and a specific date for sentencing has not been announced.
