A 38-year-old Arnold man has been handed a hefty sentence for his involvement in the production and possession of child pornography.

Dennis M. Suellentrop, Jr. was sentenced to 120 years in prison for the heinous crimes, which were committed between August 19, 2016, and January 1, 2017.

According to court documents, Suellentrop produced child pornography videos of an infant and possessed other images of child pornography during the specified time period.

He appeared in federal court before U.S. District Court Judge Catherine D. Perry, where he pleaded guilty in September to seven counts of production of child pornography and one count of possession of child pornography.

The case was investigated by the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and the Missouri Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.

Suellentrop's sentence is a testament to the severity of these crimes and the importance of holding perpetrators accountable. The community can rest a little easier knowing that this individual will be behind bars for a long time.
