Grimy Times Exclusive: Honduran National Sentenced for Violations of the Federal Gun Control Act

In a shocking turn of events, DENNIS NUNEZ-LACAYO, a 28-year-old citizen of Honduras, has been sentenced to 13 months imprisonment for violating the Federal Gun Control Act. This egregious crime took place in Louisiana on June 4, 2014.

According to court documents, NUNEZ-LACAYO, an alien present illegally in the United States, was found in possession of a firearm. This brazen act not only defied the law but also put innocent lives at risk.

U.S. Attorney Kenneth A. Polite praised the work of the Homeland Security Investigations of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, in investigating this matter. Assistant United States Attorney Spiro G. Latsis was in charge of the prosecution.
