Devaun Laquis Robertson, Crack Cocaine Trafficking, Kentucky 2023

A Lexington man was sentenced to 68 months in prison for trafficking crack cocaine, according to a federal court ruling.

Devaun Laquis Robertson, 27, was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Greg VanTatenhove on Wednesday for possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine.

Robertson admitted to possessing 39.4 grams of crack cocaine and a digital scale with residue on March 20, 2019, during a home visit from Lexington Police and officers from the State Probation and Parole.

Under federal law, Robertson must serve 85 percent of his prison sentence and will be under the supervision of the U.S. Probation Office for five years.

The investigation was directed by the Lexington Police Department, with assistance from the FBI's Louisville Field Division and the Kentucky Department of Corrections.

Robertson was on probation at the time of the offense for Trafficking in a Controlled Substance First Degree, and was subject to home visits from law enforcement as part of his parole conditions.

The United States was represented by Assistant U.S. Attorney Cynthia Rieker in the case against Robertson.
