Dock Lee Shoemaker, Failure to Register as a Sex Offender, Oklahoma 2025

MUSKOGEE, OKLAHOMA – Dock Lee Shoemaker, a 60-year-old resident of Calera, Oklahoma, has pleaded guilty to one count of Failure to Register as a Sex Offender.

The indictment alleged that Shoemaker was convicted of felony Sexual Battery in the State of Oklahoma on February 3, 2016, and was required to register as a sex offender.

However, from August 2020 until April 16, 2025, Shoemaker failed to register and update his registration while entering, leaving, or residing in Indian country, within the Eastern District of Oklahoma.

The charge arose from an investigation by the U.S. Marshals Service.

According to the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma, Shoemaker faces a maximum sentence of ten years in prison.

The Honorable Gerald L. Jackson, U.S. Magistrate Judge in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma, accepted the plea and ordered the completion of a presentence investigation report.

A U.S. District Court Judge will determine the sentence to be imposed after considering the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and other statutory factors.

Currently, Shoemaker is being held in the custody of the United States Marshals Service pending sentencing.
