Dustin Jarrard, Embezzlement, Georgia 2025
GAINESVILLE, Ga. – Dustin Jarrard, a 38-year-old former operations manager at Tribe Transportation, was arraigned yesterday before United States Magistrate Judge Anna W. Howard after being indicted by a federal grand jury on July 22, 2025 for wire fraud.
According to U.S. Attorney Theodore S. Hertzberg, Jarrard allegedly embezzled more than $500,000 from Tribe Transportation over the course of more than three years.
As operations manager, Jarrard had the authority to request expense reimbursements on truck drivers' behalf. However, he sent fraudulent reimbursement requests to Tribe Transportation, including requests for drivers who were not actually employed by the company and layover bonuses that were not earned.
After receiving funds that were not owed to them, the drivers transferred some of the money to Jarrard for his personal use.
The indictment was announced by U.S. Attorney Hertzberg and FBI Atlanta Special Agent in Charge Paul Brown.
Jarrard is presumed innocent of the charges and it will be the government's burden to prove his guilt beyond a reasonable doubt at trial.
This case is being investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and Assistant United States Attorney Jennifer Keen is prosecuting the case.
Members of the public are reminded that the indictment only contains charges and should contact the U.S. Attorney's Public Affairs Office at USAGAN.PressEmails@usdoj.gov or (404) 581-6185 for further information.
