Dustin K. Gildemeister, Child Sex Abuse Images Distribution, Wisconsin 2025

A 39-year-old Oshkosh man has been indicted on federal charges of distributing obscene visual depictions of child sex abuse.

According to a statement from the Eastern District of Wisconsin, Dustin K. Gildemeister was indicted on December 16, 2025, on four counts of distributing obscene visual depictions of the sexual abuse of children in violation of Title 18, United States Code, Section 1466A.

The indictment alleges that Gildemeister distributed the images on two different dates in September 2025.

Gildemeister is also accused of distributing the images while required to register as a sex offender in violation of Title 18, United States Code, Section 2260A.

If convicted, Gildemeister faces a mandatory minimum 15-year prison sentence and a maximum of 40 years in prison. He may also be required to pay a fine of up to $250,000 and faces a mandatory term of 5 years on supervised release and a maximum term of life on supervised release.

Gildemeister is currently on the Wisconsin Sex Offender Registry based on his convictions in 2015 for child exploitation and possession of child pornography in the Winnebago County Circuit Court.

The case is being investigated by the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office with the assistance of the Wisconsin Department of Corrections, Division of Community Corrections and will be prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Daniel R. Humble.

An indictment is only a charge and is not evidence of guilt. Gildemeister is presumed innocent and is entitled to a fair trial at which the government must prove his guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.

The case is being brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse launched in May 2006.
