Twelve Members of Drug Trafficking Organization Charged in Federal Indictment

San Francisco, CA - Eduardo Guzman Torres, 33, of Winton, California, is one of twelve defendants charged in a federal indictment for their roles in a narcotics trafficking organization.

Torres, also known as "Miguel" and "Mikey," is charged with conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute controlled substances (Count 1), punishable by not less than 10 years imprisonment and up to life, and a $10 million fine. He is also charged with distribution of and possession with intent to distribute controlled substances (Counts 2-4, 6-9, 11-13, 17, 21-23), punishable by not less than 5 years imprisonment and up to life, and a $5 million fine.

On November 19, 2019, law enforcement officials executed search warrants at eleven locations, including ten residences in Sonoma County, seizing more than 25 kilograms of methamphetamine.

Torres and the other eleven defendants were originally charged by complaint, which alleged that law enforcement officials made seizures of drugs, including 11 ½ pounds of methamphetamine on October 15, 2019. Communications were intercepted revealing that customers ordered and received drugs from the organization and sometimes complained about the quality and quantity of the drugs they had purchased.

The indictment follows the arrest of several defendants on November 19, 2019, and the execution of search warrants at eleven locations, including ten residences in Sonoma County.

Eduardo Guzman Torres is currently being held without bail. His next court appearance is scheduled for [insert date].
