Creal Springs, Illinois resident Erin K. Wright, a/k/a 'Erin Shannon,' 'Erin Tennyson,' and 'Erin Atchison,' was sentenced to federal prison for methamphetamine-related offenses, announced United States Attorney for the Southern District of Illinois Steven D. Weinhoeft today.
Wright, 48, was found guilty of conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine and possession of pseudoephedrine knowing that it would be used to manufacture methamphetamine. At sentencing, the district court found that Wright was responsible for the possession of 86.4 grams of pseudoephedrine and the distribution of 370.7 grams of 'ice,' a highly potent form of methamphetamine.
The investigation revealed that Wright was involved with others in the manufacture and distribution of methamphetamine. The offenses occurred between September 2012 and April 2015, in Franklin, Williamson, and Jackson Counties.
The Southern Illinois Drug Task Force and Southern Illinois Enforcement Group led the investigation, with assistance from the Williamson County States Attorney’s Office. Wright's involvement in the methamphetamine trade has now been brought to a close, and she will serve 48 months in federal prison followed by three years of supervised release.
Wright was also fined a total of $400. Wright's sentence sends a clear message that those who engage in methamphetamine trafficking will face severe consequences.
