Omaha Man Sentenced to 151 Months in Federal Prison for Cocaine and Methamphetamine Distribution

A 26-year-old Omaha man has been sentenced to 151 months in federal prison for his role in distributing cocaine and methamphetamine in the city.

Esteban G. Morales was convicted of methamphetamine and cocaine distribution charges after he was caught in a drug trafficking sting operation.

According to court documents, Morales sold four ounces of methamphetamine to a source working with law enforcement in Omaha on October 23, 2017, and sold four ounces of cocaine to the same source in Omaha on August 29, 2018.

The investigation into Morales' activities was conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Morales will serve a 5-year term of supervised release following his release from the Bureau of Prisons. There is no parole in the federal system.

Senior United States District Judge Joseph F. Bataillon handed down the sentence in federal court, bringing an end to a lengthy investigation into Morris' activities.
