Felicia Anne Straub, Wire Fraud, Pennsylvania 2023

Published January 30, 2015

Fraudulent activities have reached new heights in Pennsylvania, as exemplified by the recent sentencing of Felicia Anne Straub, 42, of Easton, Pennsylvania.

According to sources, Straub, the former office manager of Financial Adjuster’s, Inc., orchestrated a complex scheme to embezzle a staggering $459,332 from the company’s funds between September 5, 2006 and December 26, 2010.

The funds, obtained through wire fraud, were used by Straub for personal purchases of goods and services and to pay her husband’s personal credit card bills.

On top of the financial exploitation, Straub also committed aggravated identity theft and tax evasion. Her actions have led to a six-year prison sentence.

The case against Straub was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Internal Revenue Service Criminal Investigations, the Lehigh County District Attorney’s Office, and the Whitehall Township Police Department. Assistant United States Attorney Kishan Nair is prosecuting the case.

In addition to the prison term, U.S. District Court Judge Edward G. Smith ordered restitution in the amount of $459,332, three years of supervised release, and a $500 special assessment.

The sentencing of Straub serves as a stark reminder of the consequences of engaging in fraudulent activities and the importance of holding individuals accountable for their actions.

In the end, Straub's actions have resulted in a severe penalty, one that she must now face as she begins her six-year prison sentence.
