Floyd Henry, Trafficking Firearms, New Jersey 2023
A Paterson man has been sentenced to 57 months in prison for illegally transporting and selling firearms in New Jersey.
Floyd Henry, 36, also known as "HK," pleaded guilty to one count of illegally engaging in the business of dealing in firearms and four counts of possession of firearms and ammunition by a convicted felon.
According to court documents, Henry sold or attempted to sell 16 firearms, including two semi-automatic rifles, three revolvers, and 11 semi-automatic pistols, as well as over 100 rounds of ammunition, in exchange for over $8,000 between July 15, 2019, and September 25, 2019.
Henry had purchased or obtained the firearms and ammunition in other states, transported them to New Jersey, and sold them to an individual in Passaic County.
Acting U.S. Attorney Rachael A. Honig credited Special Agents of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives, officers with the Passaic County Sheriff's Office, the Passaic County Prosecutor's Office, and the New Jersey State Police with the investigation leading to Henry's arrest and charges.
In addition to the prison term, U.S. District Judge Katharine S. Hayden sentenced Henry to three years of supervised release.
The government is represented by Assistant U.S. Attorney Christopher D. Amore of the U.S. Attorney's National Security Unit in Newark.
