Omaha, Nebraska - In a major blow to the city's methamphetamine trade, Francis Dale Peebles, 40, was sentenced to 120 months in federal prison for his role in a large-scale drug trafficking organization.
According to court documents, Peebles was involved in a conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute methamphetamine, beginning in mid-2017.
The investigation, led by the Drug Enforcement Administration, uncovered a sophisticated network of methamphetamine traffickers operating in the Omaha area.
Agents with the DEA began tracking Peebles after authorizing wire and electronic interceptions, which revealed he was receiving large quantities of methamphetamine from the organization.
A search warrant executed at Peebles' residence yielded a staggering 490.4 grams of methamphetamine, 144.8 grams of THC concentrate, 1068.9 grams of marijuana, $6,944.00 in cash, and 10 firearms.
Peebles' sentencing marks a significant victory in the fight against methamphetamine trafficking in Omaha. His 120-month prison term will be followed by a five-year supervised release period.
