Francisco Calderon-Panduro, Methamphetamine Distribution Conspiracy, Minnesota 2019
MINNEAPOLIS, Minnesota - A massive methamphetamine distribution ring was brought to its knees with the sentencing of Francisco Calderon-Panduro, 33, to 60 months in prison followed by three years of supervised release for conspiring to distribute methamphetamine.
According to court documents, in December 2019, Francisco Calderon-Panduro and others participated in a large-scale methamphetamine distribution conspiracy. The brazen operation led to the arrest of Calderon-Panduro, who was caught with three pounds of methamphetamine in his trunk.
The controlled purchase was orchestrated by law enforcement, who had arranged with Calderon-Panduro's co-conspirators to conduct the exchange. When Calderon-Panduro arrived at the designated location, undercover law enforcement officers apprehended him. In a stunning admission, Calderon-Panduro confessed to possessing additional methamphetamine at his residence.
A subsequent search of Calderon-Panduro's home yielded a shocking discovery: an additional 47 pounds of methamphetamine stored in various locations within the property. The sheer scale of the operation left authorities stunned.
Acting U.S. Attorney W. Anders Folk for the District of Minnesota announced the sentencing, which was handed down by U.S. District Judge Patrick J. Schiltz.
The case was the result of an investigation conducted by the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Anoka-Hennepin Narcotics and Violent Offenders Task Force.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Allen A. Slaughter prosecuted the case, bringing Calderon-Panduro to justice for his role in the massive methamphetamine distribution conspiracy.
