Frankie Nez, Aggravated Sexual Abuse by Force, Arizona 2019

PHOENIX, ARIZONA – In a shocking turn of events, Frankie Nez, 38, of Sanders, Arizona, has been sentenced to 20 years in prison for aggravated sexual abuse by force. Nez, an enrolled member of the Navajo Nation, was found guilty of the heinous crime and will now face the consequences of his actions.

According to investigators, Nez forced his way into the home of an elderly victim on February 25, 2018, and committed a heinous act of sexual assault. The investigation was conducted by the Navajo Nation Police Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation, with the prosecution handled by Kiyoko Patterson, Assistant U.S. Attorney for the District of Arizona, Phoenix.

The sentencing took place on March 26, 2019, in U.S. District Judge Steven P. Logan's courtroom. Nez will also serve a lifetime of supervised release following his prison term. This case highlights the importance of protecting vulnerable members of our community and bringing perpetrators to justice.
