Crime Hits Home: Local Authorities Crack Down on Illegal Immigration
TALLAHASSEE & PENSACOLA, FLORIDA - In a recent crackdown on illegal immigration, three previously deported aliens have been indicted for reentering the United States without proper authorization.
The latest indictment stems from an investigation by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Enforcement and Removal Operations, and Homeland Security Investigations, which led to the arrest of Freddy Bravo Galvez, a 32-year-old Mexican national.
Galvez was allegedly located in Tallahassee in June 2025, after previously being deported in 2013 and 2020. The penalty for illegally reentering the United States after deportation is a maximum of two years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
The cases are being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorneys Eric Mountin, Jessica Etherton, and Brooke DiSalvo.
An indictment is merely an allegation by a grand jury that a defendant has committed a violation of federal criminal law and is not evidence of guilt. All defendants are presumed innocent and entitled to a fair trial, during which it will be the government's burden to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
This case is part of Operation Take Back America, a nationwide initiative that marshals the full resources of the Department of Justice to repel the invasion of illegal immigration, achieve the total elimination of cartels and transnational criminal organizations (TCOs), and protect our communities from the perpetrators of violent crime.
