George Puskas, II, Receiving Child Sexual Abuse Material, Florida 2025
A Palm Harbor man has been sentenced to six years and six months in federal prison for receiving child sexual abuse material, U.S. authorities announced Tuesday.
George Puskas, II, 66, was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Mary S. Scriven in connection with the receipt of child sexual abuse material, which is a federal crime.
According to court documents, between December 2022 and August 2023, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) used a file-sharing program to connect to one of Puskas's electronic devices and download several files of CSAM.
The forensic search of the devices revealed hundreds of photos and dozens of videos of CSAM, including images that depicted minors under the age of 12 and sadistic or masochistic conduct.
The case was investigated by the FBI and the Largo Police Department. It was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Ross Roberts.
Puskas pleaded guilty on March 27, 2025, and was sentenced on the same date. He was also ordered to pay $46,000 in restitution and register as a sex offender.
The case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative launched in May 2006 to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse.
Puskas, whose full name is George Puskas, II, is a resident of Palm Harbor, Florida. He was charged with receiving child sexual abuse material.
