Gregory A. Voltz, Jr., Cocaine Distribution, West Virginia 2023

A Wheeling man has admitted to distributing cocaine in a protected location, United States Attorney Bill Powell announced.

Gregory A. Voltz, Jr., 35, of Wheeling, West Virginia, pled guilty to three counts of 'Distribution of Cocaine Base Within 1,000 Feet of a Protected Location.'

The crimes allegedly took place in February 2018 near Jensen Playground in Wheeling.

Voltz faces at least one and up to 40 years incarceration and a fine of up to $2,000,000 for each count.

The actual sentence imposed will be based upon the seriousness of the offenses and the prior criminal history, if any, of the defendant.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Stephen L. Vogrin is prosecuting the case on behalf of the government.

The Ohio Valley Drug & Violent Crime Task Force, a HIDTA-funded initiative, and the West Virginia State Police investigated.

Sr. U.S. District Judge Frederick P. Stamp, Jr. presided over the case.

Voltz, 35, of Wheeling, West Virginia, is facing serious consequences for his alleged crimes.
