Local Man Sentenced to 68 Months in Prison for Child Pornography Charges

A St. Louis County man has been sentenced to 68 months in prison for his role in a child pornography case. Harry Hamm, 79, of Chesterfield, Missouri, pleaded guilty in February to two counts of possession of child pornography and one count of access with intent to view child pornography.

On April 19, 2019, officers from the St. Ann Police conducted a search of Hamm's premises and seized several electronic devices, including iPhones, a laptop computer, an iPad, and a Toshiba laptop. A forensic examiner located deleted web history on Hamm's iPhones showing searches for and viewing of child pornography, as well as images of child pornography.

Additionally, the examiner found deleted images of child pornography on Hamm's Acer laptop, deleted web history showing searches for child pornography on Hamm's iPad, and computer search terms consistent with child pornography on Hamm's Toshiba laptop computer. Hamm's Shoebox account was also accessed through Canada's legal process, revealing images of child pornography.

Altogether, Hamm possessed 57 images of child pornography, some of which included prepubescent minor children engaged in sexually explicit conduct, sadistic or masochistic conduct, or other acts of violence.

The FBI and St. Ann Police investigated the case, with Assistant United States Attorney Rob Livergood handling the prosecution. Hamm's sentence was handed down by United States District Judge Stephen R. Clark.
