Hector Ariel Ortiz-Guillen, Possessing Fraudulent Immigration Document, New Hampshire 2025

A Honduran man has been accused of possessing a fraudulent immigration document, sparking a federal investigation.

According to the U.S. Attorney's office, Hector Ariel Ortiz-Guillen, 26, was charged with one count of knowingly possessing a fraudulent or forged Permanent Resident card.

On December 5, 2025, Ortiz-Guillen was encountered by U.S. Border Patrol during a traffic stop. Further investigation revealed he was in possession of a forged or fraudulent Legal Permanent Resident card bearing his own photograph but the alien number of a different person.

The charging documents are allegations, and Ortiz-Guillen is presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.

The defendant faces a sentence of up to 10 years in prison and up to 3 years of supervised release, as well as removal from the United States.

The investigation was led by the United States Border Patrol, with Assistant U.S. Attorney Charles L. Rombeau prosecuting the case.
