Isaac Felix-Rivera, Racketeering Conspiracy, Massachusetts 2021

A former member of the New Bedford Chapter of the Latin Kings, Isaac Felix-Rivera, 24, a/k/a 'King Izzy,' pleaded guilty to conspiracy to conduct enterprise affairs through a pattern of racketeering activity, more commonly referred to as RICO conspiracy.

Felix-Rivera pleaded guilty to his role in the Latin Kings' drug distribution conspiracy based in the City of New Bedford, where the gang ran a vast cocaine base distribution network that used multi-unit apartment buildings known as 'trap houses' to distribute the narcotics.

The Latin Kings are a violent criminal enterprise comprised of thousands of members across the United States. The gang uses drug distribution to generate revenue, and engages in violence against witnesses and rival gangs to further its influence and to protect its turf.

Felix-Rivera admitted to his role in the Latin Kings' drug distribution conspiracy, where the gang obtained their supply of cocaine base from co-defendant, Jorge Rodriguez, a/k/a 'King G.'

United States Attorney Andrew E. Lelling; Joseph R. Bonavolonta, Special Agent in Charge of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Boston Field Division; Commissioner Carol Mici of the Massachusetts Department of Correction; and New Bedford Police Chief Joseph C. Cordeiro made the announcement today.

Felix-Rivera is the 23rd defendant to plead guilty in the case. Sentencing is scheduled for March 18, 2021, and the RICO conspiracy charge provides for a sentence of up to 20 years in prison, three years of supervised release, and a fine of $250,000.

This case is part of an Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces (OCDETF) operation. OCDETF identifies, disrupts, and dismantles the highest-level criminal organizations that threaten the United States using a prosecutor-led, intelligence-driven, multi-agency approach.
