Ivan Nicholas Baez, Child Pornography, Pennsylvania 2025
A Monroe County man has been sentenced to 262 months in prison on child pornography charges.
According to the United States Attorney's Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania, Ivan Nicholas Baez, age 46, of Kunkletown, Pennsylvania, was sentenced on October 23, 2025, to over 21 years in prison by United States District Judge Julia K. Munley.
The charges stem from a search warrant obtained by the Pennsylvania State Police in May 2024, which revealed approximately 150 images and videos of child sexual abuse material on Baez's cell phone.
Some of the images were created on the cell phone and depicted Baez engaging in sexual acts with minors as young as approximately 10-years-old. Baez was a caretaker to one of the minors.
The case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Pennsylvania State Police. Assistant United States Attorney Jenny P. Roberts prosecuted the case.
This case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative launched in May 2006 by the Department of Justice to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse.
Baez is accused of possessing, producing, and distributing child pornography, which is a federal crime.
