MUSKOGEE, OKLAHOMA – A Mexican national was sentenced to time served for one count of Unlawful Reentry of Removed Alien, announced the United States Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma.
Ivone Monforte Leal, aka Yvonne Monforte, aka Ivonne Monforte Stefany, age 34, was found in the United States after having been previously removed twice without obtaining the express consent of the Secretary of Homeland Security to reapply for admission to the United States.
On March 26, 2025, Leal was discovered in Wagoner County, Oklahoma, according to investigators. Prior to that, she had been removed from the country twice without permission.
Leal pleaded guilty on May 22, 2025, to the charge of Unlawful Reentry of Removed Alien. The case is part of Operation Take Back America, a nationwide initiative that aims to repel the invasion of illegal immigration and protect communities from violent crime.
The Honorable Robert J. Shelby, U.S. District Judge in the United States District Court for the District of Utah, sitting by assignment, presided over the hearing in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Assistant U.S. Attorney T. Cameron McEwen represented the United States at sentencing.
Leal's sentence of time served means she will not receive any additional prison time beyond the time already served while awaiting trial.
This case highlights the ongoing efforts of law enforcement agencies to combat illegal immigration and protect communities from the risks associated with it.
