Jacob Miller, 50, Charged with Firearms Trafficking in Fort Wayne, Indiana
Fort Wayne, Indiana – Jacob Miller, 50, of Auburn, Indiana, has been charged with serious federal crimes in connection to selling firearms to a known felon and dealing in firearms without a license.
According to the indictment, Miller sold firearms to a known felon on or about March 28, 2013, April 15, 2013, June 14, 2013, and November 15, 2013. He is also accused of dealing in firearms as an unlicensed dealer between on or about March 21, 2013, and continuing to on or about November 15, 2013.
The indictment also seeks the forfeiture of firearms and ammunition. These charges were filed as a result of an investigation by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
This case has been assigned to and will be prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Tina L. Nommay. The United States Attorney’s Office emphasized that an indictment is merely an allegation and that all persons charged are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty in court.
If convicted in court, any specific sentence to be imposed will be determined by the judge after a consideration of federal sentencing statutes and the Federal Sentencing Guidelines.
