Jacob Valley, Felon in Possession of Firearms, New Hampshire 2025

Published May 26, 2026

A shocking case of felony gun charges has unfolded in Milford, New Hampshire. Jacob Valley, a 31-year-old man, has been accused of being a felon in possession of firearms.

According to the indictment, Valley allegedly possessed four firearms in April 2025. This brazen act has sparked concern among law enforcement officials and residents alike.

The case against Valley stems from a previous conviction for unlawful possession of firearms in the District of New Hampshire on March 23, 2021. He was subsequently sentenced to 70 months in federal prison on September 10, 2021.

Despite his previous conviction, Valley allegedly continued to possess firearms, putting himself and others at risk. The charge of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon carries a maximum prison term of 15 years, a maximum fine of $250,000, and a term of supervised release of not more than 3 years.

The investigation was led by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the Manchester Police Department. Assistant U.S. Attorney Mike Shannon and Special Assistant U.S. Attorney Christopher Marin are prosecuting the case.

Valley is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law. His initial appearance and arraignment took place in court today.

The community is left wondering how such a blatant disregard for the law went unchecked. As the case unfolds, one thing is clear: the consequences of felony gun charges can be severe.
