Jacqueline Roberta Little Sack, Meth Trafficking, South Dakota 2019

A 41-year-old woman from Rosebud, South Dakota, has been charged with meth trafficking after a federal grand jury indicted her on conspiracy to distribute a controlled substance.

Jacqueline Roberta Little Sack, 41, was indicted on July 16, 2019, for her alleged involvement in a methamphetamine trafficking operation. According to the indictment, Little Sack conspired with others to distribute and possess with intent to distribute 50 grams or more of methamphetamine between February 1, 2019, and July 16, 2019.

The maximum penalty upon conviction is up to 40 years in prison and/or a $5,000,000 fine, at least 4 years supervised release, and $100 to the Federal Crime Victims Fund for each Count. Restitution may also be ordered.

Little Sack appeared before U.S. Magistrate Judge Mark A. Moreno on July 19, 2019, and pled not guilty to the indictment. She was remanded to the custody of the U.S. Marshals Service pending trial. A trial date has not been set.

The investigation into Little Sack's alleged activities is being conducted by the Rosebud Sioux Tribe Law Enforcement Services and the Northern Plains Safe Trails Drug Enforcement Task Force. Assistant U.S. Attorney Meghan N. Dilges is prosecuting the case.

The charge is merely an accusation and Little Sack is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty. The case serves as a reminder of the ongoing struggle against methamphetamine trafficking in the region.
