A Fort Wayne man has been sentenced to 120 months in prison for his role in distributing a controlled substance.
Jamarkis J. Carter, 31 years old, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, was sentenced by United States District Court Chief Judge Holly A. Brady after pleading guilty to distributing a controlled substance.
According to documents in the case, on September 25, 2024, Carter and a co-defendant distributed 50 grams or more of methamphetamine.
This case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Fort Wayne Safe Streets Gang Task Force, which includes the FBI, the Indiana State Police, the Allen County Sheriff’s Department, and the Fort Wayne Police Department. The Drug Enforcement Administration Laboratory also assisted with this investigation.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Stacey R. Speith.
