In a shocking turn of events, James Close, a 32-year-old resident of Baltimore, Maryland, was brought to justice in 2005 for a string of violent crimes that had shaken the community. Close, who was born on July 12, 1972, in Baltimore, Maryland, was charged with multiple counts of assault with intent to murder, armed robbery, and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.

The case, which was filed on October 4, 2005, in the United States District Court for the District of Maryland, made headlines across the state as the investigation unfolded. Close was accused of targeting local businesses and civilians, leaving a trail of destruction and fear in his wake.
