James Satterfield, Violent Crime, Maryland 2011

On June 6, 2011, James Satterfield was charged in the United States District Court for the District of Maryland with a string of violent crimes. According to court documents, Satterfield was accused of multiple counts of carjacking, armed robbery, and possession of a firearm during a crime of violence. The federal indictment alleged that Satterfield, armed with a handgun, had targeted multiple vehicles in the Baltimore area, forcing drivers to hand over their cars and valuables at gunpoint. Over the course of several months, authorities received reports of multiple carjackings and robberies, leading to a comprehensive investigation involving the FBI and local law enforcement agencies. On March 10, 2012, Satterfield was arrested in a sting operation in Baltimore, where he was found to be in possession of a firearm, further solidifying the charges against him. After a lengthy trial, Satterfield was found guilty on all counts on August 22, 2012. He was subsequently sentenced to 25 years in federal prison, with the possibility of early release after serving 85% of his sentence.
