Javece Lyndale Wilson, Cocaine Trafficking, New Mexico 2018
ALBUQUERQUE – Javece Lyndale Wilson, 38, of Maywood, Ill., was sentenced to 60 months in prison for his conviction on a cocaine trafficking charge in New Mexico.
The Albuquerque office of the DEA arrested Wilson in December 2017 after seizing approximately 550 grams of cocaine from his luggage during an interdiction investigation on December 11, 2017, in Albuquerque.
Wilson was indicted on December 20, 2017, and was charged with possession of cocaine with intent to distribute on December 11, 2017, in Bernalillo County, N.M.
On April 20, 2018, Wilson pled guilty to the indictment and admitted possessing more than 500 grams of cocaine concealed in his luggage while traveling through Albuquerque on December 11, 2017. Wilson further admitted that he was transporting the cocaine with the intent to distribute the cocaine to other individuals.
Wilson will be on supervised release for four years after completing his prison sentence.
This case was investigated by the Albuquerque office of the DEA and was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Eva Fontanez.
