ALBUQUERQUE, New Mexico - In a shocking turn of events, Jeffery Christopher Saint Louis, 28, of El Paso, has pleaded guilty to federal drug trafficking charges after a high-speed chase through New Mexico.
On November 8, 2023, Saint Louis drove through a Border Patrol checkpoint on Highway 54 in Otero County. Following the incident, the Otero County Sheriff's Office obtained a search warrant for Saint Louis' vehicle. During the search, law enforcement discovered 9.982 kilograms of pure methamphetamine in a suitcase in the trunk of his vehicle. In his plea agreement, Saint Louis acknowledged that he was aware of the methamphetamine in his vehicle and admitted that it was his intention to distribute the drugs to other individuals.
