Gun Charges in Montana

A 54-year-old man from Livingston, Montana, has been charged with gun crimes.

Jeffrey Francis Wood was arraigned on February 9 before U.S. Magistrate Judge Timothy J. Cavan in Billings. He pleaded not guilty to charges of possession of an unregistered silencer and possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number.

Wood faces a maximum of 10 years in prison, a $10,000 fine, and three years of supervised release if convicted. He is currently being held pending further proceedings.

The investigation into Wood's activities was conducted by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the Park County Sheriff's Office.
