Armed Robbery Rocks Miami Beach: Former Employee Sentenced to 10 Years

A shocking case of armed robbery has come to a close in Miami Beach, Florida. Jemm Urcil Prospere, a 29-year-old former employee of Dylan's Candy Bar, has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for his role in the heinous crime.

On February 11, 2019, Prospere entered the Dylan's Candy Bar location on Lincoln Road, wearing a black mask, a black hooded sweatshirt, and blue latex gloves. He then commandeered the store's manager, pointing a firearm at them and demanding they empty the safe and place all the money into a book bag.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Michael B. Homer, who commended the investigative efforts of the FBI and Miami Beach Police Department in this matter.
