Jennifer Annette Bush, Cocaine and Heroin/Fentanyl Trafficking, Pennsylvania 2019

SCRANTON – In a shocking turn of events, Jennifer Annette Bush, a 44-year-old Stroudsburg woman, has been charged with drug trafficking offenses.

According to the indictment, Bush distributed and possessed with the intent to distribute both cocaine and heroin/fentanyl on diverse dates in late 2017, 2018, and early 2019.

The investigation was led by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the Pennsylvania State Police, and the Stroud Area Regional Police Department. Assistant United States Attorney Jeffery St John is prosecuting the case.

This case is part of Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN), a program aimed at reducing violent crime and making our neighborhoods safer. The PSN program was reinvigorated in 2017 as part of the renewed focus on targeting violent criminals.

This case was also brought as part of a district-wide initiative to combat the nationwide epidemic of heroin use and distribution. The Heroin Initiative targets heroin traffickers operating in the Middle District of Pennsylvania and is part of a coordinated effort among federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies.

Indictments are only allegations, and Bush is presumed innocent until found guilty in court. If convicted, she could face a maximum penalty of 20 years of imprisonment, a term of supervised release following imprisonment, and a fine. The exact sentence will depend on various factors, including the nature of the offense and Bush's history and characteristics.
