Fayetteville Woman Sentenced to 11 Years for Methamphetamine Trafficking
Fayetteville, Arkansas – Jennifer Brunos, age 38, was sentenced to 136 months in federal prison followed by four years of supervised release for her role in a methamphetamine trafficking operation in Northwest Arkansas.
Court records show that Brunos was stopped by law enforcement officers for a traffic violation on an unknown date. During the stop, officers discovered 293.7 gross grams of methamphetamine in nine separate bags hidden in different areas of the vehicle.
The methamphetamine was field tested and sent to the DEA laboratory for further analysis. The results confirmed the presence of 274 grams of actual methamphetamine.
Brunos was indicted by a federal grand jury in June 2019 and entered a guilty plea in August 2019. The case was investigated by the Fourth Judicial Drug Task Force and the Drug Enforcement Administration.
Assistant United States Attorney Amy Driver prosecuted the case for the Western District of Arkansas. The Honorable Judge Timothy L. Brooks presided over the sentencing hearing in the United States District Court in Fayetteville.
