Convicted Heroin Trafficker Faces Up to 20 Years in Prison

Jeny Fury, a 31-year-old Clarksburg woman, was convicted of heroin trafficking in federal court.

According to the indictment, Fury sold heroin in Harrison County, West Virginia in February 2015.

She pled guilty to one count of 'Distribution of Heroin'.

Jury verdicts are not required in guilty plea cases. The conviction is the result of a plea agreement between Fury and the government.

Fury faces up to 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $1,000,000.

Under the Federal Sentencing Guidelines, the actual sentence imposed will be based upon the seriousness of the offenses and the prior criminal history, if any, of the defendant.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Sarah Montoro prosecuted the case on behalf of the government.

The Greater Harrison County Drug and Violent Crime Task Force, a HIDTA-funded initiative, investigated the case.

U.S. Magistrate Judge John S. Kaull presided over the proceedings.

Fury is currently being held without bond pending sentencing.

Her sentencing date has not been scheduled.
