Federal Inmate Arrested for Methamphetamine Possession

Ocala, Florida - In a shocking turn of events, federal authorities have arrested Jessie Wooden, a 36-year-old inmate at the Coleman Federal Correctional Complex in Ocala, Florida, on a two-count indictment charging him with possession with the intent to distribute 50 grams or more of methamphetamine.

According to the indictment, on March 10, 2024, Wooden was in possession of at least 50 grams of methamphetamine with the intent to distribute it. He was also found to be in possession of marijuana, tetrahydrocannabinol, and buprenorphine.

The indictment, returned by a federal grand jury on May 28, 2024, alleges that Wooden committed the crimes while he was a federal inmate. If convicted, he faces a minimum mandatory penalty of 10 years, up to life, in federal prison.
