Former Massachusetts School Employee Charged with Transporting a Minor for Sex

CONCORD, New Hampshire - Jesus Moore, a 35-year-old former school employee from Lawrence, Massachusetts, was charged by indictment in federal court in Concord for transporting a former student to New Hampshire to engage in unlawful sexual conduct, U.S. Attorney Jane E. Young announces.

According to court documents and statements made in court, on or about March 7, 2022, Moore transported a former student at the school which employed Moore. At the time, the former student was under 18. The former student was transported across state lines to engage in unlawful sexual conduct.

The Department of Homeland Security, the Lawrence Police Department, and the Manchester Police Department led the investigation. Assistant U.S. Attorney Anna Krasinski is prosecuting the case.

In February 2006, the U.S. Attorney’s Offices introduced Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative designed to protect children from online exploitation and abuse. Led by the U.S. Attorney’s Offices, Project Safe Childhood marshals federal, state and local resources to better locate, apprehend, and prosecute individuals who exploit children via the Internet, as well as identify and rescue victims. An indictment is merely an allegation and a defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.

Moore self-surrendered and appeared in federal court today. He was released on conditions.
