Buffalo Man Sentenced On Cocaine Charges
A 32-year-old Buffalo man has been sentenced to prison for his role in a cocaine trafficking operation.
Jesus Rojas, of Buffalo, was convicted of possession with intent to distribute, and distribution of, cocaine and crack cocaine, was sentenced to serve 36 months in prison by U.S. District Judge Richard J. Arcara.
According to authorities, Rojas sold cocaine to a confidential source working with law enforcement officers on five separate occasions between October 27, 2016, and October 23, 2017. On January 5, 2017, a search warrant was executed at Rojas’s residence on Military Road in Tonawanda. Officers seized over 25 grams of marijuana and a digital scale. A second search warrant was executed on October 23, 2017, and officers seized another quantity of marijuana.
The sentencing is the result of an investigation by the Drug Enforcement Administration, under the direction of Special Agent-in-Charge James J. Hunt, New York Field Division.
Rojas’s sentencing is a significant victory for law enforcement and the community. The DEA’s dedication to combating drug trafficking has made a real difference in the lives of those affected by this scourge.
