Huntington Man Pleads Guilty to Fentanyl Distribution in West Virginia.
A Huntington man has pleaded guilty to distributing fentanyl in a case that highlights the ongoing struggle with opioid addiction in the region.
Jimmie Lee Holbrook, 43, of Huntington, pleaded guilty today to distribution of fentanyl, a highly addictive and potentially deadly synthetic opioid.
According to court documents and statements made in court, on April 10, 2023, Holbrook sold a quantity of fentanyl to a confidential informant in a vehicle outside of a service station in Huntington.
Holbrook is scheduled to be sentenced on March 4, 2024, and faces a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison, three years of supervised release, and a $250,000 fine.
United States Attorney Will Thompson commended the investigative work of the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and the Cabell County Sheriff’s Department for their efforts in bringing Holbrook to justice.
