John Faucher, Possessing Weapon, Connecticut 2018
A former bank robber has pleaded guilty to possessing a weapon in a federal prison in Connecticut.
John Faucher, 41, admitted to possessing an object designed or intended to be used as a weapon on March 12, 2018, while an inmate at the Federal Correctional Institution in Danbury.
According to court documents, Faucher is serving a 46-month sentence for robbing a bank in Manchester, New Hampshire, in October 2016, and attempting to rob a convenience store in Manchester in September 2016.
Faucher will be sentenced by U.S. District Judge Stefan R. Underhill on October 3, 2018, and faces a maximum term of imprisonment of five years.
This matter is being investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Anastasia E. King.
