Jolene Myers, Methamphetamine Distribution, West Virginia 2023
Jolene Myers, a 41-year-old woman from Mount Nebo, was sentenced to two years in prison for her role in distributing methamphetamine in Nicholas County, West Virginia.
According to court documents, Myers sold a quantity of methamphetamine to a confidential informant outside of a Summersville-area business on March 19, 2022. The transaction was just one of several instances in which Myers admitted to selling methamphetamine to the informant on multiple occasions in Nicholas County.
On April 9, 2022, law enforcement officers conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle driven by Myers on Mount Lookout Road in Nicholas County. During the search, officers found a quantity of methamphetamine in Myers' pants and a SCCY Model CPX-1, 9mm pistol in her purse.
United States Attorney Will Thompson commended the investigative work of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) and the Central West Virginia Task Force in bringing Myers to justice.
United States District Judge Irene C. Berger imposed the sentence, which will be followed by three years of supervised release. Assistant United States Attorney Lesley C. Shamblin prosecuted the case.
