MUSKOGEE, OKLAHOMA – A Mexican national has been sentenced to 57 months in prison for a federal drug crime.

Jorge Luis Mejia-Mejia, 40, of Mexico, was sentenced on no date specified for one count of Possession with Intent to Distribute Fentanyl.

According to investigators, on March 29, 2025, an Oklahoma Highway Patrol trooper conducting a routine traffic stop on Interstate 40 near Sallisaw arrested Mejia-Mejia after discovering over 878 grams of fentanyl, a Schedule II controlled substance.
