In a shocking turn of events, Jose Antonio Chavarria-Marquez, a 43-year-old Salvadoran national, has been charged with illegally reentering the United States. According to court documents, Chavarria-Marquez was found in York, Pennsylvania on April 14, 2026, after being removed from the country through Laredo, Texas on April 4, 2019.

Chavarria-Marquez is facing a single charge of illegally reentering the United States after having previously been removed. This offense carries a maximum penalty of two years of imprisonment, a term of supervised release following imprisonment, and a fine.
