Jose Luis Pineda, Motor Vehicle Homicide, Texas 2024
A Mexican national has been charged in the Eastern District of Texas with two counts of reckless driving and two counts of assault by vehicle after allegedly smashing into two motorcyclists on April 15, 2024 in McAllen, Texas.
According to the indictment, Jose Luis Pineda, 28, was driving a 2017 Ford F-150 when he struck the motorcyclists, causing them to suffer serious injuries.
The indictment alleges that Pineda recklessly drove his vehicle, disregarding the safety of others on the road, and that his actions caused the motorcyclists to suffer physical injuries.
Pineda is an undocumented alien who is currently being held in the Willacy County Jail pending a detention hearing.
